Summer 1907 : LONDON

Esquisse officielle du projet OLYMPIC & TITANIC
It is at the announcement of the next commissioning of the liner Lusitania of the Cunard, that J. B. ISMAY goes one evening to Lord W. J. PIRRIE. He lives in the upscale Belgravia district of Londres in a residence called Downshire House.
It was during the dinner that they would have decided to undertake the construction of two giant liners, the Olympic and the Titanic, followed later by a third, the Gigantic which eventually became the Britannic.
At this time, the Irish shipyards Harland & Wolff are deeply redesigned in order to start the construction of the first two transatlantic ships. In particular, two special wedges have to be built, adapted to the gigantic dimensions of the two future mastodons.
